At The Exwick Ark we have a range of different facilities to suit the varying needs and abilities of the children in our care.
The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s learning and development. Our rich and varied environment supports the children’s learning and gives them confidence to explore safely both indoors and outdoors.
Being outside can have a positive impact on children’s sense of well being and it can help all aspects of children’s development. Being outdoors offers opportunities for doing things in different ways and on different scales than when indoors.
Yes, it’s true – children do a lot of their early learning about life, the world, and people around them through play, both on their own and in games with other children. It looks like fun, and at The Exwick Ark we try to ensure that it always is always a fun experience.
At the same time, we are trained and experienced childcare professionals too. Learning is our business, and we have a thorough understanding of children’s varied learning needs and abilities.
So we make sure that each child in our care is give the opportunity to make the most of his or her time at The Exwick Ark, by providing a stimulating environment full of interesting experiences. It may not be formal classroom learning, as that will come in later years, but we will make sure that time spent at the Exwick Ark is an education, in every possible way.
